Tonight is a #WOTD time! Today’s word is “kvetch”. Have you heard of it, fellas?
According to Merriam-webster, kvetch means to complain habitually. It can be used as a noun or verb.
- as a verb means to complain or grumble constantly.
- as a noun means someone who complains habitually.
Word kvetch was first used around 1950s. By 1936s it’s used as a term of abuse for a person.
Whine, whimper, grumble, and grump are some synonyms of kvetch.
Here are some example of kvetch in a sentence:
- Lea is always kvetching about something.
- I am another kvetch when it comes to wind chimes.
