#EngTips: Tips on writing essay

Fellas, have you had to make an essay, be it for scholarship, school assignment, or anything else? How did you manage to finish it? Here are some #EngTips to write an essay. Grab your notes, fellas!1. Pick a topic. If you’re free to choose your topic, make sure to pick an interesting one.If the topic is assigned, try to find its’ interesting side to explore.

  1. Narrow down your focus and purpose of the essay, whether you’d make a general overview or a specific analysis of the subject.

  2. Do some research and collect some data, so you have enough information about things you want to write.

  3. Prepare an outline by listing your main ideas and leaving some spaces under each one to list the other smaller ideas.

  4. Create a thesis statement which tells the reader the point of your essay. Then continued with three to five supporting ideas.

  5. After finishing the overall body of your essay, don’t forget to write the conclusion paragraph. Your conclusion should consist of three to five strong sentences. Simply review your main points and provide reinforcement of your thesis.

Last but not least,

  1.  Check the order of your paragraphs and make sure that your paragraphs fall in the correct order. You can also try to copy-paste your writing to google translate and listen to it. Hearing your essay spoken out loud gives it a fresh perspective, and helps with editing.
