Khalil Gibran was a Lebanese-American artist, poet, and writer. He was born in the town of Bsharri, the Mount Lebanon Mutasarrifat, Ottoman Empire. He had been writing all his life and at least had composed more than 20 books since 1905. Some of his famous works are ‘The Madman’ (1918) and ‘The Prophet’ (1923).
