In English, ‘inconnu’ is a noun which has two meanings:
1. Another name for a sheefish.

Example:
- He won the fishing competition by catching an inconnu.
- A person who is unknown or a stranger. The plural form of this definition is ‘inconnus.’
Example:
- I didn’t know you. You’re an inconnu to me.
