#WOTD: Jot

Hiyya, fellas! Have you ever heard of the word ‘Jot’? Let’s talk about the word ‘Jot’ in today’s #WOTD

‘To jot’ is to write briefly or hurriedly; write a short note of something, mencatat, menulis cepat.

‘To jot’ is synonymous with: write down, note down, record, list, note, register, tally, scribble.

The word ‘jot’ is usually followed by ‘down’. Example: (on the phone) Please jot my number down and ask her to call back soon.

More example: (in the class) Jot these questions in your notebooks and submit the answers tomorrow.

More example: Ideas can come anytime and anywhere. Always have a notepad within reach so you can jot them down quickly.
