Such as “Happening” when actually doesn’t go with the real synonym in English but used as the replacement of “trend” in Indonesian

Additional Explanations

Happening

@citrakhaerani: happening cm slang disini?kalo kita pake ngobrol sm bule, mereka ngerti ga happening yg kita mksd adalah ‘yg lagi ngetrend’?

Sedangkan nge-trend biasanya dikatakan dengan “This is in now”,”It’s in now”,”This is trending”

@sitaaMasita: klo qt biasa blgnya ‘yg lagi in skg’

@citrakhaerani: berarti kalo nanya “what’s happening song in your country” buat nanyain lagu apa yg lagi populer disana, jelas salah bgt ya?

Sayangnya, itu salah, bentuk gaulnya biasanya “What song is popular in your country now?”

Inserting –ing when ‘doing’ something ( @alvinoswerie, @citrakhaerani)

@alvinoswerie:Wah, di bbm banyak tuh min, ex : its time to dvd-ing

Untuk @chikitawinanzya, skate=sk8 or for=4 menjadi kata2 disingkat saat chatting/sms semacam alay b.Inggris

Wow fellas, seems you all know a lot and been sharing a lot this #EngTalk :D Admin is very happy with the responses :) Language will always evolve within the piling cultures going on in the world, you never know how it did it but it does.Tonight’s #EngTalk definitely shows how Indo-Slang has also evolved using English words, it’s something peculiar but interesting somehow.
