- “Speak for yourself.” Arti: sama dengan catchphrase yang berarti “Lu aja kali.” Misalnya, ketika ada seorang teman mengatakan ia lapar, sementara kamu tidak, kamu bisa mengatakan padanya, “Speak for yourself.”

- “Sugarcoat” (Verb). Arti: menutupi sesuatu supaya terlihat lebih menarik atau lebih bagus.

- “It’s a real treat.” Arti: senang akan sesuatu, bisa sesuatu yang kita lihat/dengar, dll.

- “..sleep on it.” Arti: sulit memutuskan sesuatu, maka kita “membawanya tidur” terlebih dahulu.

- “..have/has a way with (something).” Arti: dia sukses dengan sesuatu atau bidang itu.

- “..can’t agree more.” Arti: kita sangat setuju dengan pernyataan yang kita dengar.

- “You wish!“ Arti: tidak mungkin; seperti mengatakan, “Ya ya.. Mimpi aja terus!”
